Letter of Clarification

It seems there is a need to clarify the intent of the CYO Youth Council Reunion.
First area of clarification is that it is NOT a Rainbow reunion; it is in fact a long overdue appreciation dinner for previous Youth Council members and a time for them to reunite, somewhat like a class reunion.
Secondly, after due consideration and dialogue it was decided to only invite Youth Council members, not CYO employees – past or present, and to try to make sure diligence is made to focus on and appreciate the whole of Youth Council, not just one aspect of this incredible group of teens.
CYO has been blessed by so many current and past employees that have seen a particular need for the youth in our area and in turn brought forth programs to address these needs. Athletics, Spiritual Scouting, Camps and Youth Development are all areas that previous and current CYO employees have begun and expanded upon.
However, this particular event is about the teens that have come together for years every Saturday to be with their peers at Youth Council in order to work on programs to benefit themselves and their peers in the Archdiocese.
Hopefully we’ll have a chance to see all of you there and you’ll have a chance to reminisce about Youth Council - from meetings, to retreats, to OBATT, Storm, the Light, WIND, and probably memories of Rainbow as well.
